Indenture & Dues

Indenture

Apprentices accepted into the program are registered with the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship & Training, and the International Association of Bridge, Structural and Ornamental Iron Workers. A one-time fee of $ 100.00 for initiation, $ 25.00 for the death benefit fund, and the first month’s union dues of $ 34.00 must be paid prior to the indenture into the Iron Workers Local Union #22. Fees should be paid by cash or money order. All new apprentices (accepted into the program and fees paid in full) will be sworn/indentured into the union at a meeting designated by the president of the local.

Dues

Iron Workers Union Apprentice members are required to pay dues of $34.00 by the 15th of each month. Dues cover union costs and entitle the apprentice to union representation.
